Privacy Policy
Effective September 13, 2026
Ringfield is a product of Just Use Flint LLC (“Ringfield,” “we,” “us”). Ringfield answers missed calls for service businesses: when a business that uses Ringfield can’t pick up, the call reaches their voicemail, and the business’s assistant, Rosa, texts the caller back to gather the details of the job. This policy explains what information we collect from the businesses that use Ringfield, from the people who call and text them, and from visitors to this site, and how we use and protect it.
The short version
- We collect what is needed to text a caller back and hand the business a lead: the caller's number, what they tell us, and any photos they send.
- We never sell personal information, and we never share mobile numbers or texting consent with third parties for their marketing.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help.
- Questions go to support@ringfield.app.
1. Who this policy covers
Three groups of people interact with Ringfield:
- Businesses that subscribe to Ringfield, such as plumbers, HVAC technicians, electricians, roofers, and other trades. We call them “customers.”
- Callers: people who phone a customer’s business, reach voicemail, and receive a text from that business through Ringfield.
- Visitors to ringfield.app.
When a caller texts with a business through Ringfield, the business is the one they contacted and the one who will call them back. Ringfield processes the conversation on the business’s behalf and shows it to that business in the Ringfield app.
2. Text messaging
Text messages are the core of the service, so here is exactly how they work.
- How texting starts. A caller phones a business that uses Ringfield and does not reach a person. By calling the business and providing their number, the caller starts a conversation about their service request, and the business replies by text through Ringfield. The first text identifies who is texting and how to opt out.
- What the messages are. Conversational messages about the caller’s own service request: questions about the problem, the address, timing, and photos, and confirmations about the callback. We do not send marketing or promotional texts under this program.
- Frequency. Message frequency varies with the service request. Most conversations are a handful of messages.
- Timing. Because texts respond to your call, one can arrive at any hour, including outside business hours.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply according to the caller’s mobile plan.
- Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that business through Ringfield. One confirmation message is sent, then no more. Calling the business still works.
- Help. Reply HELP and you get the business’s name and number and a reminder that STOP opts you out, for example: “Miller Plumbing: reply or call (614) 555-0199 and Mike will get back to you. Reply STOP to opt out.” You can also email support@ringfield.app.
- No sharing of mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Sharing with the business you contacted, and with the service providers that operate Ringfield for us, is not sharing for marketing. Mobile numbers are used only to coordinate your service request with the business you contacted.
- How replies are written. The business’s assistant, Rosa, drafts replies with software, including a language model provider, under rules the business does not have to manage. The business can read every message and take over the conversation at any time. If a caller asks whether they are texting with a person, Rosa says she is the business’s virtual assistant.
3. What we collect
From callers: the phone number that called, the time of the call, the voicemail message if one was left and a written transcript of it, the text messages exchanged with the business, any photos sent by text, and the details shared in those messages such as a name, an address, and a description of the problem. We check the number type and caller ID name with our telephone carrier to filter spam calls, and we keep a record of calls we filtered.
From customers: the business name, the owner’s name and mobile number, the business phone number that forwards to Ringfield, a recorded voicemail greeting, hourly rate and pricing preferences, the leads, notes, appointments, and job values the business records in the app, push notification tokens for their device, and billing details handled by our payment processor. We sign customers in with a one-time code texted to their mobile number; we do not store passwords.
From visitors: standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This site does not use advertising trackers.
4. How we use it
- To text callers back on behalf of the business they called and gather the details of their service request.
- To transcribe voicemails and organize the information into a lead the business can act on, including an estimate of the job's value that is shown only to the business.
- To send the business notifications about new leads and emergencies.
- To filter spam and unwanted calls.
- To bill customers, measure usage against their plan, and provide support.
- To keep the service reliable and secure, and to meet legal and carrier obligations, including keeping records of texting consent and opt-outs.
We do not use caller information to market to callers, and we do not build advertising profiles.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- The business the caller contacted. Everything a caller shares is shown to that business so they can call back prepared. Each business is responsible for how it handles the information it receives.
- Service providers who process data under contract for us: our telephone and messaging carrier (Telnyx), voicemail transcription (Deepgram), the language model provider that helps draft replies (Anthropic), cloud hosting and file storage, push notification delivery (Apple), and payment processing (Stripe). They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons. When required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of callers, customers, or the public.
- Business transfers. If Just Use Flint LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction under this policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Voicemail and recordings
When a call goes unanswered, the caller hears the business’s voicemail greeting and may leave a message. A voicemail is a recorded message by nature; Ringfield does not record live conversations. The audio is stored so the business can listen to it, and a transcript is made so the details can be captured. We periodically remove older recordings. The transcript stays with the lead.
7. How long we keep it
- Leads, conversations, and photos: for as long as the business's account is active, so they can look back at their work. A business can remove a lead from its account at any time; we keep the underlying record for the period in this section and then delete it.
- Voicemail audio: only as long as it is useful to the business; older recordings are removed periodically.
- Opt-out records: at least ten years, so a caller who replied STOP is never texted again through Ringfield.
- Texting consent and delivery records: as long as carrier rules require.
- Customer account and billing records: for the life of the account plus the period required for tax and accounting.
- Site logs: a short period for security and troubleshooting.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Stored files are kept in private storage and served through short-lived links. Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate the service. Every message we send is logged with the program it was sent under, so we can answer carrier and regulatory questions. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected people and authorities as the law requires if a breach occurs.
9. Your choices and rights
- Callers can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, and can ask us or the business to delete the information from their conversation.
- Customers can edit or delete leads in the app, turn the assistant off, and close their account by contacting us.
- Everyone can ask what information we hold about them, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to a use of it, by emailing support@ringfield.app. We will verify the request and respond within the time the law allows.
Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have the rights those laws provide, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. Because we act as a service provider to the business a caller contacted, some requests will be routed to that business.
10. Children
Ringfield is for businesses and their adult customers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the effective date at the top. For changes that matter to how we use your information, we will tell customers directly and post a notice on this site.
